Step 3: Once done, you will now have to open up any web browser from your PC. Check your address bar and simply type down your IP address(find your router’s IP address) over here. This will lead you to the TP-Link login page. If you purchase a TP-Link cable router, enter http://tplinkmodem.net in the address bar of the browser.

Step 4: To enter your admin control panel you will have to enter your admin username and password. Usually, the default username and password are the same. Enter your username as ‘admin‘ followed by the password as ‘admin‘. Click on login to enter your control panel.

The default username and password are both ‘admin‘ for most of the TP-Link Router

? Note: You may forget your IP configuration and details after you log in for the first time. It is better to take a picture or a screenshot of your configuration details as this will help you to remember everything.

? Note: While adding a new password for your TP-Link Router, make sure that the password is strong. You will have to ensure that you use a combination of special characters and alphanumeric codes which will help you to keep your network secure.

How To Find TP-Link Wi-Fi Password?

There are generally different ways by which you can quickly get your password. Even if you forget your password, you can quickly use them to enter it back into your admin panel at any time.

Look for the label on your router. Every router from TP-Link comes with a label on top or bottom of this. This is your default username and password available over here. You can enter this to connect with your TP-Link router.

Another certain way to log into your admin panel is by going to find your credentials from Google. Simply type down your router serial number and you will be able to find your default username and password. You can enter them and log into your account easily.

If none of these options do work for you, another way out is to opt for a system check from the configuration. You can go to wireless settings and then go to the WPA2 security page. Here you will find your details about the new password or changed password. Take a picture of this and you will be able to access your admin panel through this.

Why Can’t I Log into My TP-Link Router?

There may be several reasons why you can’t log in to your TP-Link router. Probably the most common reason for them is that you have a crashed domain or IP configuration that is not working properly. You can alter the settings by going to your admin login page and figuring out the problem again. If this does not work, try resetting the router. Keep in mind that resetting the router will bring back all default settings. No new password and SSID will be active now. So to log in again you will have to enter your default SSID and password. There should be a small reset button available just behind your router. Simply tap on this for at least 10 seconds. Keep your hands off and you will be able to configure it properly.

Conclusion

You might face multiple technical difficulties while accessing your TP-Link router login. However, the easiest solution for all of them will be to get to restart your router easily. Resetting your router back to default settings will allow you to quickly configure. However, you must keep in mind that changing your network settings to private mode will only help you to keep it secure. When a router is configured for the first time, it is generally set in public mode. You will simply have to change it to a private network.
